Because the American media is so tipped toward favoritism toward Israel, many people need to be educated. A producer for a major American TV show said in my presence a month ago, "Not one American TV station, including PBS, is free to tell the truth about what Israel is doing."
Why? The heavy Zionist lobby, the pressure of advertisers, etc.

Subject: Why is the US media complicit in Israeli crimes against Humanity?
US mainstream media had front page coverage and in the case of CNN round-the-clock coverage of the suicide bombing that tragically killed 15 Israelis. This of course followed two months of killing of Palestinians and grave war crimes and violations of basic human rights that went largely unnoticed (some even dared call it a period of "relative calm") by the same media outlets because their victims were not Israeli.
In those two months, over 150 Palestinians were murdered by Israeli occupation forces and over 2000 injured (most of them civilians), With equally predictable gall, this media turned off the reporting as 11 Palestinians were massacred within a few hours of the bombing in Haifa. Reuters showed pictures of the carnage but I could not find them flashed on CNN or on front pages of newspapers in the US.
A caption for one picture of Reuters reads "Unidentified bodies lie in the street in the Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip early March 6, 2003. Israeli forces killed at least 11 Palestinians and injured more than 140, including some torn apart by a tank shell, in a major raid in Gaza after a suicide bomber on Wednesday killed 15 people."
Now, why is human life treated differently if it is Palestinian rather than Israeli? In the past two years Israeli forces killed 2400 Palestinians, injured 30,000, demolished hundreds of homes, continues to hold without trial five thousand political prisoners (who are now languishing, mistreated, and forgotten in Israeli Gulags). Israeli forces now imprisoned three million Palestinians in over 70 large Ghettos denying them the right to go to school, work, and even clinics. This according to the UN resulted in 40% of Children being malnourished and a 70% unemployment. All these atrocities are done with our tax money.
The reason it is made possible it seems is that the American media has been keeping all this away from the American taxpayers. If silence on this ethnic cleansing and genocide-by-installment is complicity, then those who edit and report the news have a lot to answer to.
